Season Four begins with Dean awakening dazed and confused in a grave, having been rescued by an angel named Castiel on orders from God. Sam has further developed his abilities with the help of Ruby during the four months that Dean has been dead. It is soon revealed that Dean was revived to help stop Lilith's plan of breaking the 66 seals, which would let Lucifer walk free once again. In the season finale Sam kills Lilith, but her murder is the final seal. The angels also wanted the seals to be broken, because when Dean defeats Lucifer, they can usher in paradise on Earth. Ruby reveals she has been manipulating Sam since they first met, and Dean kills her in revenge. With Sam having killed Lilith, and ultimately breaking the final seal, Lucifer is now free. The fifth season pinpoints on Lucifer and the signs of the upcoming Apocalypse.

The CW was looking good last night when two of their shows picked up People’s Choice Awards.
Supernatural beat out Heroes, True Blood, Lost and Vampire Diaries to win Best Sci Fi/Fantasy Show!
The Vampire Diaries beat The Good Wife, V, Flash Forward and NCIS: Los Angeles for Best New Drama!
Those are huge wins. Unlike the Emmys or Oscars, The People’s Choice Awards are voted on by the viewing public and that says a lot. It is funny though, that Supernatural beat Vampire Diaries which then went on to beat everyone else!
The only downside, is I hear these awards were not presented in the telecast. I missed the first half hour, so I thought it was my bad luck, but looks like not.
Lastly, if you click through the cut, you’ll find a Twitter message from an actor about his status on Supernatural.

Sorry ladies, but it looks like BOTH Supernatural men are now off the market. A short while after Jensen Ackles announced his engagement to One Tree Hill star Danneel Harris, it’s now being reported that Jared Padalecki is also engaged…to former co-star Genevieve Cortese.
That’s right, Sam and the second Ruby are getting hitched. I guess those sexy blood-drinking scenes were more than just acting.
There is no confirmed wedding date, but it seems like both Jensen and Jared will have a lot more in common with both of their upcoming nuptials.
Fans will certainly remember Genevieve Cortese as the replacement Ruby from season 4 who seduced Sam into drinking demon blood, leading him to turn against his own brother. Fans will also remember applauding when she was finally killed off in the season finale, “Lucifer Rising.”
Cortese can now be seen on ABC’s FlashForward where she plays the soldier daughter of recovering alcoholic Aaron Stark. Cortese will be 29 this Friday, January 8.
So now w can take bets: who will get married first, Jensen or Jared? And will the fact that both men are settling down mean that Supernatural really will come to an end after this season? Only time will tell.
Supernatural returns with new episodes January 21.

who is watching “Watchmen” actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s career will surely tell you the same thing — the man’s keeping busy. Already filming “The Losers” and hoping for a role in “Lobo,” Morgan will soon sign on the dotted line for yet another well-known franchise.
According to Variety, Morgan is nearly set to star in “Red Dawn,” the modern update of the 1984 classic. The new version is directed by Dan Bradley from a screenplay by Carl Ellsworth and Jeremy Passmore.
The new “Red Dawn” focuses on a group of teenagers that form a guerrilla resistance against Chinese and Russian soldiers that have invaded the United States. Morgan is set to play the leader of a U.S. Special Forces team that discovers the teenage freedom fighters.
Aside from Morgan, “Red Dawn” stars “Star Trek” actor Chris Hemsworth and “The Wackness” lead Josh Peck as Jed and Matt Eckert, the two brothers previously played by Patrick Swayze and Charlie Sheen in the first film. The on-screen collision of Hemsworth and Morgan represents a clash of different comic book properties — Hemsworth is starring in “Thor” for Marvel, while Morgan’s already featured in the aforementioned “Watchmen” and “The Losers.”

With Guy Ritchie announced as the director for “Lobo,” it’s only a matter of time before the main man himself gets cast. I’ve already listed some of my suggestions for who should play Lobo, but there’s another actor that’s vying for the role—and despite his former status as a Comedian, his designs on the last Czarnian are hardly a joke.

The actor who plays Sam and Dean’s father on ‘Supernatural’ says he has not been contacted by anyone although he has expressed his willingness to re-appear.
Should creator Eric Kripke decide to bring back John Winchester down to earth on “Supernatural”, the actor portraying the character is ready to get in action. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, in his chat with Movie Web, said that he really wants to come back for at least one episode before the show ends for good this season.
